National Development Plans

The National Development Plan is drawn up by GAZ-SYSTEM for a period of 10 years in accordance with Article 16(2) of the Energy Law; GAZ-SYSTEM is also the entity responsible for planning the development of the Transit Gas Pipeline System.

The development plan is prepared based on the guidelines:
  • Energy and Climate Policy of the European Union;
  • Energy and Climate Policy of Poland (including PEP 2040 and NAP 2021-2030);
  • The Concept for Spatial Development of the Country;
  • Legal acts of the European Union (in particular, SoS Regulations).

The following documents and studies were used in the preparation of the development plan:
  • The forecast of demand for gas transmission service in Poland until 2045 (GAZ-SYSTEM study of 2023);
  • Ten-Year Transmission System Development Plan (TYNDP 2022), prepared by ENTSOG;
  • Agreed with the ERO President - TYNDP for 2022-2031 Part A (decision DRG.DRG-3.4311.16.2021.RTu of October 29, 2021);
  • GAZ-SYSTEM Investment Plan for 2023-2025;
  • Reporting data for 2022.
