Project route and location:
The investment will be located in the Silesian and Lesser Poland Voivodeships. The gas pipeline will be routed through the territories of the following municipalities: Racibórz, Kuźnia Raciborska, Nędza, Lyski, Rybnik, Czerwionka- Leszczyny, Orzesze, Suszec, Kobiór, Tychy, Bojszowy, Bieruń, Oświęcim and Chełmek.

The Racibórz - Oswiecim gas pipeline was divided into sections:
- Racibórz - Rybnik - gas pipeline with a diameter of 700 mm and a length of 38.7 km
- Rybnik - Bojszowy - gas pipeline with a diameter of 700 mm and a length of 58.8 km
- Bojszowy - Chełmek - gas pipeline with a diameter of 700 mm and a length of 8 km
- branch gas pipeline to Suszec with a diameter of 300 mm and a length of 10.5 km"
Project status:
- the design stage of the investment has been completed and a set of construction permit decisions has been obtained,
- On January 8, 2024, an agreement was concluded with the contractor for the construction works of the Racibórz - Rybnik (Ochojec) section,
- preparation of the assembly and construction lane in forest areas on the Racibórz - Rybnik (Ochojec) section was completed.
- construction of a gas pipeline between Racibórz and Rybnik has begun.

During the meetings we will present information about the investment, its stages and timetable, occupation of property for the duration of construction and operation of the gas pipeline, compensation.

Most importantly, the planned investment project will increase the region’s attractiveness by enabling access to gas transmission infrastructure and creating conditions for connecting new customers, specifically from the power sector, to the transmission network. The development of the transmission system will also significantly improve security of gas supply in southern Poland.
Local communities will gain an important benefit of the revenue from the property tax to be paid annually by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. at the rate of 2% of the value of the pipeline section located in the territory of a given commune.

The project is implemented on the basis of the provisions of the Act of 24 April 2009 on investments in regasification terminal for liquefied natural gas in Świnoujście (for consolidated text see Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1836).
Environmental decision
On 25 August, 2021, the Regional Director of Environmental Protection in Katowice issued the decision (WOOŚ.420.29.2020.JKS.59) on the environmental conditions for the project named “Construction of high-pressure gas pipeline DN700 MOP 8.4MPa from Racibórz to Oświęcim together with the infrastructure necessary for its operation and the construction of the Pressure Reduction and Measurement Station SSRP Suszec together with a DN300 branch-off pipeline.”

On 30 December 2021, the Małopolska Voivode issued decision no. WI-IV.747.1.38.2021 establishing the location of the project named: “Construction of the high-pressure gas pipeline DN700 MOP 8.4MPa from Racibórz to Oswiecim together with the infrastructure necessary for its operation and the construction of the System Reduction and Measurement Station SSRP Suszec together with a branch DN300".

On 16 March 2022 the Silesian Voivode issued decision no. 5/2022, sing IFXIII.747.26.2021 establishing the location of the project named: “Construction of the high-pressure gas pipeline DN700 MOP 8.4MPa from Racibórz to Oswiecim together with the infrastructure necessary for its operation and the construction of the System Reduction and Measurement Station SSRP Suszec together with a branch DN300 in the Śląskie Voivodeship".

On October 25, the Silesian Voivode issued Decision No. 66/22 approving the land development project and the architectural and construction project and granted a permit covering the investment project entitled: "Construction of a high-pressure gas pipeline DN700 MOP 8.4MPa from Racibórz to Oświęcim together with the infrastructure necessary for its service and the construction of the System Reduction and Measurement Station SSRP Suszec together with a DN300 branch. Section L1 SNO Stańkowice - ZZU Ochojec".
On December 20, the Silesian Voivode issued decision No. 48/22/B-B approving the land development project and the architectural and construction project and granted a permit covering the investment project entitled: "Construction of a high-pressure gas pipeline DN700 MOP 8.4MPa from Racibórz to Oświęcim, together with the infrastructure necessary for its service and the construction of the System Reduction and Measurement Station SSRP Suszec together with a DN300 branch. Section L2.2 branch DN300".
On December 30, the Silesian Voivode issued decision No. 83/22 approving the land development project and the architectural and construction project and granted a permit covering the investment project entitled: "Construction of a high-pressure gas pipeline DN700 MOP 8.4MPa from Racibórz to Oświęcim, together with the infrastructure necessary for its operation and the construction of the SSRP Suszec System Reduction and Measurement Station together with a DN300 branch. Section L2.1 ZZU Ochojec - border of the Silesian voivodeship".

On February 14, the Małopolska Voivode issued Decision No. 5/BZ/2023 approving the land development project and the architectural and construction project and granted a construction permit covering the investment project entitled: "Construction of a high-pressure gas pipeline DN700 MOP 8.4MPa relation Racibórz - Oświęcim. L3 section - Małopolska voivodeship (L=8.0 km)".

Under a special act regulating gas infrastructure projects, compensation payments are guaranteed to the owners of the land affected by the project development.
The compensation payment process is carried out in accordance with an administrative procedure, under the supervision of the competent Voivode. First, an independent expert is commissioned to carry out an assessment, which is the basis for determining the amount of compensation. Upon completion of the construction process, the Voivode issues an administrative decision specifying the amount of compensation due.
