Project status:
  • The construction of the Gustorzyn - Wronow gas pipeline was completed in 2023. 

Project route and location:
The gas pipeline is located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Mazovian Voivodeships. The route pass through the territory of 6 municipalities: Brześć Kujawski; Włocławek; Choceń; Kowal; Baruchowo; Gostynin.

Announcements and informations for landowners

  • 25.04.2023 - GAZ-SYSTEM announces that in the last quarter of 2023, it plans to complete construction and commission the Gustorzyn-Leśniewice gas transmission pipeline. Currently, field construction works are nearing completion. In accordance with the declarations made by our contractors, as of June this year, there will be a successive protocol transfer of properties to owners/perpetual users. Each owner/perpetual user will be informed of the above census activities in writing well in advance. The census activities will be conducted only with the owners or perpetual users of the property or persons authorized to do so. Due to information obligations to ARIMR, this information is also important for tenants, lessees benefiting from subsidies. Benefits

The aim of the project was to build a high pressure gas pipeline from Gustorzyn to Leśniewice, which will enable the transmission of increased volumes of gas to Warsaw and Łódź agglomerations, Radom and its surroundings, and to the south-eastern regions of the country. The planned investment has also have an impact on the development of local infrastructure.

An important benefit for the local community is the property tax paid annually by GAZ-SYSTEM in the amount of up to 2% of the value of the transmission infrastructure under construction located in the territory of a given municipality. This amount is regular contribution to the local budget which may be spent on community needs.

Co-financing by the European Union

Stage 1 of the project has been granted funding from the European Union under the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme 2014-2020.

The maximum amount of co-financing under the agreement exceeds 168 million PLN.

Project of Common Interest (PCI)

The European Commission has granted the PCI (Project of Common Interest) status to the project. More information on the significance of the PCI status for the development of gas transmission infrastructure can be found in the  dedicated section on PCI projects.

Compensation payments

Under a special act regulating gas infrastructure projects, compensation payments are guaranteed to the owners of the land affected by the project development.

The compensation payment process is carried out in accordance with an administrative procedure, under the supervision of the competent Voivode. First, an independent expert is commissioned to carry out an assessment, which is the basis for determining the amount of compensation. Upon completion of the construction process, the Voivode issues an administrative decision specifying the amount of compensation due.
