The project will be implemented in the Silesian province, the city of Rybnik in the districts of Grabownia, Golejów, Ochojec and Rybnicka Kuźnia.

- gas distribution station with a capacity of 160,000 m3/h

Project status:
- The design stage was completed and a set of administrative decisions was obtained, including a construction permit,
- On March 14, 2024, an agreement was concluded with the construction contractor for the project.

The effect of the investment will be the connection of the gas-steam unit in Rybnik to the natural gas transmission system. This investment will provide opportunities to introduce - as part of the energy transition - changes in electricity generation technology based on the use of low-carbon fuel sources
Environmental benefits:
The municipalities will gain an important benefit of the revenue from the property tax to be paid annually by GAZ-SYSTEM at the rate of 2% of the value of the pipeline section located in their territory. The owners of the properties to be crossed by the gas pipeline will receive compensation in this respect and will still be able to use their land.

- reduction of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere,
- reduction of nitrogen compound emissions and elimination of sulfur compound and dust emissions into the atmosphere.
- reduction in the amount of technological wastewater.
- elimination of solid waste.

The project is implemented on the basis of the provisions of the Act of 24 April 2009 on investments in regasification terminal for liquefied natural gas in Świnoujście (for consolidated text see Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1836).
Environmental decision:
July 20, 2022. The Regional Director of Environmental Protection in Katowice has issued a decision under the number WOOŚ.420.7.2022.MK1.14 on environmental conditions for the project titled: "Construction of a gas pipeline supplying gas to fuel combustion power installations - New gas-steam unit in Rybnik".
Decisions establishing the location:
On July 10, the Silesian Voivode issued Decision No. 8/2023/GAZ, marked IFXIII.747.59.2023, establishing the location of the investment project entitled: "Construction of high-pressure gas pipeline DN500 MOP 8.4 MPa - branch to the gas-steam unit in Rybnik, together with the construction of the Rybnik Metering Station".
Decision on permission for construction:
On January 10, 2024, the Silesian Governor issued Decision No. 1/2024, in which he approved the land development project and the architectural and construction project and granted a construction permit for the task "Construction of high-pressure gas pipeline DN 500 MOP 8.4MPa - branch to the gas-steam unit in Rybnik, together with the construction of the Rybnik Metering Station".

Under a special act regulating gas infrastructure projects, compensation payments are guaranteed to the owners of the land affected by the project development.
The compensation payment process is carried out in accordance with an administrative procedure, under the supervision of the competent Voivode. First, an independent expert is commissioned to carry out an assessment, which is the basis for determining the amount of compensation. Upon completion of the construction process, the Voivode issues an administrative decision specifying the amount of compensation due.
