Benefits

The Lwówek – Odolanów gas pipeline has contributed to the strengthening of Poland’s energy security and will be a crucial link of the international North- South Gas Corridor. The implementation of the project led to capacity increase of the transmission system, improved attractiveness of the surrounding areas for new investments, and strengthened the security of gas transport in the region. The pipeline is the final link of the system connecting the LNG terminal in Świnoujście with the underground gas storage facilities in Wierzchowice and Mogilno.

Local communities have gained an important benefit of the revenue from the property tax to be paid annually by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. at the rate of 2% of the value of the pipeline section located in the territory of each municipality.
