Location:
The project is located in Opolskie Voivodeship. The pipeline route runs mostly along the existing gas transmission pipeline through the area of the communes: Lewin Brzeski, Niemodlin, Grodków, Skoroszyce, Pakosławice and Nysa.
The new gas pipeline will replace the existing gas transmission pipeline and enable gas supplies to the developing economic zone in the Opolskie Voivodeship. The investment will also improve the capacity of the Polish natural gas transmission system and increase the economic importance of this part of southern Poland.
The project is implemented on the basis of the provisions of the Act of 24 April 2009 on investments in regasification terminal for liquefied natural gas in Świnoujście (for consolidated text see Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1836).
Environmental decision:
On 9 March, 2023, the Regional Director of Environmental Protection in Opole issued the decision (420.9.2022.AK.18) on the environmental conditions for the project named "Construction of gas pipeline DN 500; MOP 8,4MPa relation Lewin Brzeski - Nysa together with branches to SG - Lewin Brzeski; Skoroszyce; Grodków ul. Żeromskiego; Grodków ul. Warszawska".
Decision establishing the location:
On July 24, the Opolskie Voivode issued a decision marked IN.I.747.7.2023.AZ on establishing the location of the investment titled: "Construction of a DN500, MOP 8.4MPa gas pipeline from Lewin Brzeski to Nysa along with branches to Gas Stations - Lewin Brzeski; Skoroszyce; Grodków ul. Żeromskiego; Grodków ul. Warszawska."

Under a special act regulating gas infrastructure projects, compensation payments are guaranteed to the owners of the land affected by the project development.
The compensation payment process is carried out in accordance with an administrative procedure, under the supervision of the competent Voivode. First, an independent expert is commissioned to carry out an assessment, which is the basis for determining the amount of compensation. Upon completion of the construction process, the Voivode issues an administrative decision specifying the amount of compensation due.
