The Czeszów-Kiełczów gas pipeline is one of the elements of transmission system expansion in Lower Silesia and the investment programme designed in connection with the commissioning of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście and the development of the North-South Gas Corridor.
The construction of the Czeszów-Kiełczów gas pipeline is crucial to the strengthening of Poland’s energy security. Together with the other gas pipelines to be built in Lower Silesia, the new section with the highest operating parameters will enable the transportation of incremental gas volumes through the transmission system.

The project was implemented on the basis of the provisions of the Act of 24 April 2009 on investments in regasification terminal for liquefied natural gas in Świnoujście (for consolidated text see Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1836).
The project has been granted funding from the European Union under the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme 2014-2020.
The amount of funding granted for the project reached nearly PLN 69 million.
