The gas pipeline runs through:
- the Silesian Voivodeship, on the territory of the municipalities of: Tworóg, Wielowieś, Toszek and Rudziniec,
- the Opole Voivodeship, in the municipality of Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
For most part, the gas pipeline route runs along the existing high-pressure gas pipeline.
The investment has resulted in the improvement of the safety and reliability of natural gas transmission in the Opole and Silesia regions, and – on a national scale – increased transmission capacity and the degree of diversification of natural gas sources. In addition, the Tworóg – Kędzierzyn gas pipeline makes part of the North-South Gas Corridor.
Local communities have gained an important benefit of the revenue from the property tax to be paid annually by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. at the rate of 2% of the value of the pipeline section located in the territory of each municipality.

- Design Engineer was: a consortium of companies consisting of: MGGP S.A. from Tarnów and INIKO Sp. z o.o. from Rzeszów.
- Building Contractor was: IDS-BUD S.A.
- Investor's Supervision Contractor was: exercised by SGS Polska Sp. z o.o.
The project was implemented on the basis of the provisions of the Act of 24 April 2009 on investments in regasification terminal for liquefied natural gas in Świnoujście (for consolidated text see Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1836).
The project has been granted funding from the European Union under the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme 2014-2020.
The maximum amount of co-financing under the agreement exceeded 145 million PLN.
