Expansion of the Danish gas transmission system
Basic parameters and description of the project:
Project status:
Project route and location:
The existing gas pipelines between Nybro and Egtved and those running under the Great Belt have sufficient capacity to transport the incremental gas volumes, while the rest of the necessary onshore infrastructure has been expanded and adapted for the transmission of additional volumes. In total, about 200 km of gas pipelines have been built in Denmark. The sections of the investments that have been completed are:
- high pressure gas pipeline,
- diameter: 900 and 1000 mm
- operating pressure: 5 – 8 MPa
- length: 210-230 km
Project status:
- The investment has been completed.

In total, about 200 km of gas pipelines have been built in Denmark. The sections of the investments that have been completed are:
- Construction of a gas pipeline from the beach near Blåbjerg to Nybro,
- Construction of a receiving terminal at Nybro,
- Construction of a gas pipeline from Egtved to Little Belt,
- Construction of a gas pipeline across the Little Belt,
- Construction of a gas pipeline from Little Belt to Nyborg (via Fyn),
- Construction of a gas pipeline in the Zealand, from Kongsmark to the connection to the offshore section in the Baltic Sea.
