Rembelszczyzna – Gustorzyn Pipeline – design documentation

Photo of the article On 7 September 2009, the Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. signed an agreement with the consortium of companies ILF Consulting Engineers Polska Sp. z o.o. and ILF Beratende Ingenieure ZT Gmbh from Austria on the preparation of an engineering and construction design of the high pressure gas pipeline on the Rembelszczyzna-Gustorzyn route with a total length of 176 km and diameter DN 700.
The Contractor was selected following a tender process. The tasks of the Contractor include, among others, obtaining the environmental decision and the investment location decision, as well as obtaining a valid building permit.
The construction of the Rembelszczyzna–Gustorzyn pipeline is an element of the long-term investment plan carried out by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. The structure will fulfil an important role in the existing and designed natural gas transmission system in Poland. The gas pipeline will enable the transmission of increased amounts of gas in central Poland. This investment will significantly improve the security of gas transmission and enable the development of business entities whose activity is based on the use of natural gas, particularly in the area of the Mazovian and Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodship.
The completion date for the design documentation along with obtaining a valid building permit is planned for the end of the first quarter of 2011. After this stage, it will be possible to issue a call for tenders for the construction of the gas pipeline. The completion of the investment is planned for 2013.
The investment is being carried out by the GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. Branch in Rembelszczyzna.
GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is carrying out the following concurrent engineering and construction designs for the gas pipelines below:
  • Szczecin – Gdańsk, on the Płoty – Karlino section
  • Gustorzyn – Odolanów
  • Włocławek – Gdynia, on the Pszczółki – Wiczlino section.

In the middle of August 2009, construction works were also begun connected with the building of the Goleniów Gas Compressor Station, which will enable the transport of gas from the LNG terminal in Świnoujście.
