Note from GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.
In reference to the statement publicly announced on 26.11.2013 by ZRUG sp. z o.o., the Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. has called on ZRUG sp. z o.o. — a party to the general contracting agreement related to the investment entitled “Construction of DN 700 Gustorzyn-Odolanów pipeline”— to immediately issue a statement that providing the causes of the breakdown in Janków Przygodzki is premature and violates rights and interests of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is cooperating with the District Prosecutor’s Office in Ostrów Wielkopolski on an ongoing basis to explain the causes of the loss of Gustorzyn-Odolanów pipeline integrity and the fire in Janków Przygodzki. What is more, the company appointed a special commission which concurrently works on the explanation of the technical reasons of this accident. Various possible breakdown scenarios are analysed and examined in detail. Also, specialised expert opinions are prepared by external institutions. Identification of the exact and final causes of the accident in Janków Przygodzki will be possible after the procurement’s offices completes its procedure.
