The survey results have demonstrated market interest and will serve as a basis for further analysis including launch of the Open Season procedure.

In the period from 6 March to 20 March 2023, market participants had the opportunity to take part in a non-binding procedure to identify the demand for additional regasification capacity of the FSRU Terminal in the Gulf of Gdańsk, as compared to the regasification capacity offered at the stage of the binding Open Season procedure, i.e. 6.1 bcm/year. GAZ-SYSTEM collected information concerning the level of interest in additional regasification capacity, as well as the demand for regasified natural gas export towards: Slovakia, Lithuania, Denmark and Germany (through the existing connections), as well as the Czech Republic and Ukraine (planned connections).

The evaluation of the questionnaires submitted in the course of the procedure and the declared non-binding demand confirmed market interest in additional regasification capacity offered by the FSRU Terminal, as well as in the export of regasified natural gas in the region, thus providing the operator with a basis for further analysis.

The non-binding demand declared in the survey shall be the starting point for the decision on launching a binding Open Season Procedure to determine the demand for additional regasification capacity of the FSRU Terminal, planned in the second quarter 2023.
