Commercial summary of June: GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. executed gas transmission agreements with power companies ENEA S.A. and ELSEN S.A. and presented its new auction platform: GAZ-SYSTEM Auctions (GSA)
Last month, the group of transmission customers of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. increased by five new entities, including two power companies: ENEA S.A. (concern) and ELSEN S.A. (power company).
The ENEA Group operates in all power sector segments. It sells energy and distributes energy in around 20 percent of the territory of Poland, and generates around 8 percent of total annual electricity output in Poland. The Group offers various power and electrical services and prepares an offer for the combined sale of current and gas sale, so called dual-fuel.
We are ready to start selling gas just in a moment. In accordance with the assumptions of our market entry project, at the beginning our sale of blue fuel supplements our electricity supply. Therefore, we offer “dual fuel” at first to our permanent business Customers. In such a manner, we would like to develop their loyalty and bound them closer with our company, says Grzegorz Kinelski, Vice-president of the Management Board of ENEA S.A. in charge of trading.
A transmission agreement with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. was also signed by ELSEN S.A., which produces, transmits and distributes electricity to industrial customers located within Częstochowa and provides municipal services within the city. The company takes up numerous actions to produce energy from renewable sources, including, in particular, biomass and wind energy. Now, ELSEN S.A. will be able to supplement its offer with natural gas sale.
In June, as a result of transactions in the gas exchange operated by TGE S.A., 721.9 GWh of fuel was sent, while under transactions in the OTC market 12.1 TWh.
Last month, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. presented a platform GAZ-SYSTEM Auctions (GSA), which is a modern tool used to offer capacities under natural gas transmission systems. The platform was created during GAZ SYSTEM S.A.’s work over the development and expansion of the existing IT solution with tied product auctions.
