Environmental management

The Environmental Management System is applicable to natural gas transmission all around the country.

GAZ-SYSTEM’s environmental goals are:

improved efficiency of environmental management;
continuous efforts to minimize the environmental impact of ongoing operational processes;
mitigation of negative impact on the environment, especially in:
- waste management;
- wastewater management;
- pollutant emissions to the atmosphere;
- noise emissions;
protection of plant and animal species;
rational use of utilities and natural resources;

We achieve these goals by:

using best available technologies to achieve a high level of protection of the environment as a whole;
proper waste management (reducing the amount of waste generated);
monitoring of water, air and soil pollution and contamination and ensuring compliance with permissible emission standards;
mitigation of noise emissions to an acceptable level with the use of best available technologies;
continuous compliance with the legislation in force in the area of environmental protection and ongoing identification of and adaptation of the business to new legal requirements;
getting employees involved in pro-environmental initiatives, organizing training and ensuring the efficient flow of information about environmental activities;
restoring elements of the environment to the proper condition.
